DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP REGIONAL STORM WATER

DISTRICT BOARD MEETING

January 11, 2005

Members in attendance: Susan Berger, Walt Daniels, Jeff Thomas, Larry Weis, and Eric Luckage.

 President Susan Berger called the meeting to order at 6:30P.M.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

 There was a discussion regarding December 14^th, 2004 meeting minutes.

 Ø     A motion by Jeff Thomas and second by Walt Daniels to amend the minutes from December 14^th, 2004.  Motion carried.

 Ø     A motion by Walt Daniels and second by Jeff Thomas to accept the meeting minutes dated January 5^th, 2005.  Motion carried.

 General discussion by Eric Luckage on a resolution to establish a standard schedule of meting dates.

 Ø     Eric Luckage reviewed a budget resolution that needed to be signed.

 Ø     Eric Luckage talked about the use of purchase orders.

 Ø     The State of Ohio will audit Deerfield Regional Storm Water every two years.

 Ø     A motion by Walt Daniels and second by Susan Berger to adopt Resolution

2005-01; an Appropriation Resolution.  Motion carried.

 Treasurer’s Report

 As of January 11^th, 2005 the checkbook is balanced.

 Ø     A motion by Walt Daniels second by Jeff Thomas to pay the following invoices: Albers & Albers invoice number 11475, $2,118.25; Mariemont Insurance invoice number 19044, $2,284.00; Cincinnati Enquirer invoice number 30792, $292.72.  Motion was carried.

 Ø     Larry Weis will contact Mariemont insurance about invoice amount being $200 less than quoted.

 General Discussion

 Chuck Petty of the Warren County Engineer’s Office gave a brief overview of Warren County Storm Water District fees:

 Ø     Tier 1 - $15 Annual fee for county to cover Phase II cost.

 Ø     Tier 2 - $12 For developed lot, $100 for new building permits.

 Ø     Tier 3 - $150 Inspection Fee and $500 refundable bond.

 General discussion regarding storm water issues thru out the Township/County, etc.

General discussion on revising Storm Water Management Program.  Susan Berger will meet with Larry Weis.

 Unfinished Business

 Jeff Thomas has talked with Dave McElroy on funding for storm water districts, regarding matching funding sources.

 Employment Issues

 Motion by Susan Berger second by Jeff Thomas to go into Executive session for consideration of hiring part-time Administrative Assistant and Engineering firm.  Motion carried.

 Motion by Walt Daniels second by Jeff Thomas to return from Executive session at 9:58 P.M.  Motion was carried.

 Motion by Walt Daniels second by Jeff Thomas to adjourn meeting at 9:59 P.M.  Motion carried.
