DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP REGIONAL STORM WATER

DISTRICT BOARD MEETING

JULY 13, 2004

  Board members present: Susan Berger, Walt Daniels

 Susan Berger opened the meeting with a moment of silence.

 Walt Daniels introduced Chris Woolums with Fifth Third Bank. Mr. Woolums addressed the Board on the procedure for opening a checking account in the name of Deerfield Township Regional Storm Water District.

 A motion by Walt Daniels and second by Susan Berger to accept Fifth Third Bank as the interning bank until the Board legally advertises for a bank depository. Motion carried.

 The Board directed staff to request John Albers attending the next storm water meeting on August 10, 2004.

 The Board directed staff to bring a legal ad to the next meeting advertising for a bank depository.

 A motion by Walt Daniels and second by Susan Berger to approve meeting minutes from the June 8, 2004 meeting. Motion carried.

 Staff presented a summary of the first year’s activities relating to the Storm Water Management Plan.

 A motion by Walt Daniels and second by Susan Berger to approve the summary report and submit to OEPA. Motion carried.

 A motion by Walt Daniels and second by Susan Berger to amend the earlier motion and revise the summary report and submit to the Board at the August meeting. Motion carried.

 After reviewing a letter from OEPA dated June 7, 2004, the Board will review again, with staff comments, at the August meeting.

 Susan Berger led a discussion on Polk Run.

 Walt Daniels asked that the heading, Old Business and New Business, be added to the agenda.

 Susan Berger asked if staff could contact the local paper to have meetings listed with other governmental listings.

 A motion by Walt Daniels and second by Susan Berger to adjourn. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
