DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP REGIONAL STORM WATER

DISTRICT BOARD MEETING

MARCH 9, 2004

 A motion by Susan Berger and second by Walt Daniels to open the meeting at 6:33 p.m.

 Each Board member gave a short summary of their reason for applying for the position on the Deerfield Township Regional Storm Water District Board.

 A motion by Walt Daniels and second by Susan Berger to nominate Bill Morand as President. Motion carried unanimously.

 A motion by Bill Morand and second by Walt Daniels to nominate Susan Berger as Vice-President. Motion carried unanimously.

 A motion by Bill Morand and second by Susan Berger to nominate Walt Daniels as Secretary-Treasurer. Motion carried unanimously.

 After a discussion, a motion by Bill Morand and second by Walt Daniels to hold meetings on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Roberts’ Rules of Order will be adopted. The meeting will begin with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting will comprise of the following schedule: approval of minutes, treasurer’s report, old business, new business and other business. Motion carried unanimously.

 After a discussion, the Board will seek $1,000.00 to open an account at Fifth Third Bank in the name of Deerfield Township Regional Storm Water District Board. Jennifer Wilder will work with Walt Daniels to secure the funds and open a bank account.

 A motion by Bill Morand and second by Walt Daniels to introduce Resolution 2004-01, authorizing all officers’ signatures on a bank account for Deerfield Township Regional Storm Water District Board. Two signatures will be required on checks, with one of those being the Treasurer. Motion carried unanimously.

 There was a discussion on bank procedure and sunshine rules regarding two or more Trustees meeting with the Deerfield Township Regional Storm Water District Board.

The following items were also discussed.

• Public input at meetings.
• Staff input for meetings.
• Review of current projects.
• Henderson & Bodwell to give an overview on the Simpson Creek Project.
• Review current rules regarding building development.
• Township growth areas.
• Hamilton County regulations regarding final property inspection for occupancy permits.

 The following agenda was set for the next meeting on April 13, 2004 at 6:30 p.m.

Old business:

• Bank account information update.
• Storm Water Phase 2 overview by staff.
• Update on Hamilton County building regulations by Joel Smiddy.
• Report on current, past and future projects.

 A motion by Bill Morand and second by Walt Daniels to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.

 The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
