On March 10, 2009 Dave McElroy of Warren County Soil and Water Conservation presented a report on the condition of Deerfield Township's Detention Basins to the District Board.

At the end of 2007, the DRSWD contractd with CDM, Inc. to conduct Phase I of a Stormwater System Evaluation and Management Planning Study for Deerfield Township which will lead to models of all Township watersheds. These models can be used by the Township in setting storm water requirements for developers.

As part of the above study, Deerfield Township requested that the District focus on the proposed detention basins in the Schappacher Park area and evaluate their benefits. CDM's findings are reported below.

In 2005, the District appointed a Storm Water Advisory Committee to study the storm water issues in Deerfield Township and to make recommendations concerning a level of service and funding mechanisms. With the help of the District's consulting engineers, CDM, the committee presented recommendations to the District Board in November.
